Event Schedule For RVC Indoor Meet Tonight

TIPTON — Tonight is the first River Valley Conference indoor track and field meet in the brief history of the conference.  The boys and girls meet will be held on the campus of Cornell College in Mt. Vernon.  Field events will begin at 4:30 followed by the running events starting at 4:45 this afternoon.
The meet line-up is as follows:

Next week, area track and field teams will begin their outdoor seasons.  Listed below are outdoor meets involving River Valley Conference Schools:

Monday, March 30th - West Branch boys at Benton Community - 4:30

Tuesday, March 31st - North Cedar, IC Regina, West Branch, Wilton boys at Tipton Co-Ed - 4:30; North Cedar, IC Regina, West Branch, Wilton girls at Tipton Co-Ed - 4:30; Durant and West Liberty boys at Wapello Co-Ed - 4:45; Durant, West Liberty girls at Wapello Co-Ed - 4:45.

Siech, Kepford All-Conference Selections This Season

Tigers Will Return 10 Players Next Season


Tipton senior Bailey Kepford was a honorable mention selection in the RVC South this season after averaging 4.6 points a game and leading the Tigers in steals and assists.




Tipton senior forward Ellie Siech (40) blocks a shot attempt by a Wilton player during the Tigers home game with Wilton this season.  Siech was a 1st Team All-Conference selection after leading the RVC South in rebounding this year.

Wildcats Win 16 Games This Winter

Here is a look at the 2014-15 Durant Wildcat Girl's Basketball Season:

Durant senior Courtney Ralfs was a 1st team All-Conference selection for the RVC South this season.  She led the Wildcats in rebounding this season with a 5.7-per game average.

Durant junior Shannon Telsrow was second on the Wildcats in scoring (10.0 ppg.) and was an Elite All-Conference selection this season.  She led Durant in Assists with 62.


Durant junior Janey Botkins was an Elite All-Conference selection this season in the River Valley Conference.  She led Durant in scoring (10.6 ppg.), Steals (59) and made three-pointers (52).
