Postseason Baseball Districts Released



DES MOINES — The postseason for Iowa High School baseball is less than three weeks away as the summer 2017 season keeps accelerating to its conclusion. Late last week, the IHSAA released the district pods for classes 1A and 2A.
Two Conservative teams are in class 2A district 9 ­ Wilton and Tipton. Other district nine teams are Louisa­Muscatine, Mediapolis, Wapello and West Branch. North Cedar is in class 2A district 8. Other teams in that district are Anamosa, Bellevue, Camanche, Cascade and NE Goose Lake.

The Durant Wildcats are in class 1A for the postseason and are in district 9. Teams in the Wildcats district are Calamus­Wheatland, Easton Valley, Lisbon, Lone Tree, Bellevue Marquette, Midland and Prince of Peace.
First round games will take place on Saturday, July 8 at sites to be determined. District winners will play in a substate final. In class 2A, ,the winners of districts 7 and 8 and districts 9 and 10 will play in two separate substate finals at a site to be determined. In class 1A, district winners from districts 9 and 10 will play in a substate final at a site to be determined.

Teams: Dyersville­Beckman, Clayton Ridge, MFL­Mar­Mac, Monticello, Starmont, Waukon.
District #8
Teams: Anamosa, Bellevue, Camanche, Cascade, North Cedar, NE Goose Lake.
District #9
Teams: Louisa­Muscatine, Mediapolis, Tipton, Wapello, West Branch, Wilton.
District #10
Teams: Central Lee, Columbus Junction, Mid­Prairie, Iowa City Regina, Van Buren, West Burlington.
Class 1A
District #9
Teams: Calamus­Wheatland, Durant, Easton Valley, Lisbon, Lone Tree, Bellevue Marquette, Midland, Prince of Peace.
District #10
Cardinal (Eldon), Danville, Highland, Holy Trinity (Ft. Madison), New London, Burlington Notre Dame, Pekin, Winfield­Mt. Union.
