WILTON — The Bellevue Comets snapped an 11-game losing streak at Wilton last Tuesday in a 70-49 River Valley Conference cross-division game. The Comets have two RVC wins and they are both against RVC South teams. Bellevue beat West Liberty in early December.

Wilton led 14-11 after the first quarter, but a big 19-8 run by Bellevue in the second quarter gave the Comets an 8-point, 30-22 halftime lead. Bellevue outscored Wilton 17-11 in the third quarter and 34 to 27 in the second half to secure the 70-49 win over Wilton.

Bellevue shot over 50-percent from the field and 9-for-16 from the three-point line. Paxton Felderman scored 13 and Trey Daugherty scored 12 for the Comets.

Wilton was 20-for-41 from the field in the game. Ashton Stoelk led Wilton with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Jared Townsend added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Garrett Bohnsack scored 5 points and had 4 assists.
