MEDIAPOLIS — Sportscast Media is excited to announce the launch of live Tipton sports on the Tipton Tigercast.
“Like most schools we broadcast for, Tipton has a wonderful sports tradition, yet lacks radio or T.V.
coverage,” said Sportscast Media president, Danny Davis. “Our free broadcasts are a great way for those unable to make the game, to still feel they are a part of it. We’ve also found these broadcasts help promote schools and are a great way to reach out to alumni, who may at some point, lost contact with their school and community.”
The broadcast schedule of the Tipton Tigercast includes a mix of home and away games, which include
28 basketball events, 4 wrestling meets, boys’ basketball postseason, girls’ basketball postseason,
wrestling conference tournament, wrestling sectionals, and wrestling districts.
One of the things that make Sportscast Media broadcasts so popular is community members call the
games. All of the announcers employed by Sportscast Media are connected to theirschool district in some way. Most of the announcers are parents, teachers, community members, alumni, area business leaders, and former players or coaches.
The announcers for the winter season of the Tipton Tigercast are: Ryan Stonebraker, Chad Rezac, Matt Fouch, and Rich Fisher.
Sportscast Media provides its service to schools for free, and broadcasts are made free of charge to the public. There is no logging in, signing up, becoming a member or downloading a special app. Fans can go to the website and listen instantly.
The Tipton Tigercast kicks off the season on Tuesday, November 28, with basketball at Mid Prairie. Fans can listen live at www.thetigercast.net where there is also a broadcast schedule.
Sportscast Media currently broadcasts sports for 21 school districts, and one junior college in Iowa, and employs nearly 150 announcers. Games are of high studio quality, and are monitored by 10 board operators, an assistant and one producer. For more information on Sportscast Media, contact Danny Davis at 319-394-3174.
