TIPTON — The 2016 season is over and the final numbers are in for the receiving leaders in the state and in districts 3 and 4. Dylan Wunschel a senior from OA-BCIG led the state in receptions with 56. He had 612 yards and 6 touchdowns. Pella Christian senior receiver Levi Jungling led the state in receiving yards with 1,177 and in touchdowns with 18.
Jesup's Ethan Wyant led district 3 in receptions with 44 for 708 yards and eight touchdowns. Durant's Mason Compton was the top area receiver with 38 receptions for 604 yards and six touchdowns.
Trent Lasek of Highland led district 4 in receptions with 41 for 555 yards and six touchdowns. Wilton senior Evan Reifert was the top area receiver out of district 4 with 23 receptions for 547 yards and 8 touchdowns.
