Five River Valley Conference Girls Hoops Teams Ranked To Start 2016-17

 DES MOINES — The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released their preseason girl’s high school basketball rankings.  In them, there are five River Valley Conference members.  In class 2A, Iowa City Regina is ranked #1 and Cascade is ranked #14.  In class 3A, Camahce is ranked #7, Mid-Prairie is ranked #10 and Monticello is ranked #11.   

 Five teams also began the 2015-16 season ranked in the top-15.  In 2A Iowa City Regina, Durant and West Branch.  Monticello and Camanche were ranked in 3A to start last season.
