Wildcats four-run 7th gives Durant road win

 WEST BRANCH — A four-run seventh inning by Durant, sent the Wildcats to a 7-6 win at West Branch last Monday, July 6. The victory was their 7th on the season. The Wildcats
snapped a two-game losing streak to West Branch with the win. Durant holds a 23-10 record
over the Bears dating back to 2009.
 Durant fell behind 6-0 after the second inning after a 5-run bottom of the second inning by West Branch. The Wildcats first runs were a pair of runs in the top of the third to cut into the Bears lead at 6-2. Durant would plate four runs in the top of the seventh to grab their first lead of the game, 7-6. The Wildcats would hold on to win by the same score.
 Durant had eleven hits in the game and had four players with multi-hit games. Drew DeLong,
Ben Orr, Logan Callison, and Jake Willkomm each had two hits in the game. DeLong had two RBI’s while Nolan DeLong, Orr, Brendan Paper, and Willkomm each had a RBI in the game.
 Ethan Gast was the winning pitcher after working 5 ⅔ innings in relief of starter Brendan Paper. Gast struck out five, walked one and gave up no runs. He did give up three hits. Paper gave up six runs on five hits and struck out two.
