Winter High School Evaluation Camp Set for Jan. 28

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa baseball program will hold its Winter High School Evaluation Camp on Sunday, January 28 in the Iowa Indoor Practice Facility and HTRC.  The camp is open to any and all players grades 9-12.

The evaluation camp is a great opportunity for exposure, not only to the Iowa coaching staff, but also other colleges, universities, and scouts. Players are encouraged to register early as space is limited (the fall evaluation camp sold out).

The camp features instruction along with a pro-style workout and evaluation from the Iowa baseball coaching staff.  Pitchers and batters will also face off in a live cage setting.

Offensive stations include evaluation, HitTrax, exit velocities, and video capture, while defensive stations include evaluation, FungoMan, and velocities.  There will also be a strength and conditioning component, including a timed 60-yard run with an electronic timing system, standing broad jump, and other measures along with a short instruction session.

The camp will run from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CT).  The cost is $229.  For more information, visit http://www.iowasportscamps.com/sports/baseball/.
