GUTTENBERG — The Clayton Ridge Eagles needed a win last Friday to stay in the class 1A District 3 race.  A week after losing a shootout with state ranked Bellevue, 52-45, the Eagles got back on the winning track with a 42-6 win over Durant last Friday at home.  The Eagles have scored at least 40 points in five of their six district games this season.  The Eagles beat Tipton 13-12 in their district opener back on September 9.

Durant scored their first touchdown in the early stages of the fourth quarter on a four-yard Leo Callison touchdown run to put the score at 35-6.  The Eagles scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter to push the final score to 42-6.
Leo Callison threw for 116 yards on 12 pass completions in the game.  Mason Compton led Wildcat receivers with seven receptions for 88 yards.  He averaged 12.6 yards a catch.  Curtis Lilienthal had four receptions for 19 yards in the game.  Jake Conley led Durant running backs with 28 yards on seven carries.
