The University of Northern Iowa football team will kick off its 2017 season in Ames, Iowa, against the Iowa State Cyclones on Sat., Sept. 2, at 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on Cyclones.tv.
UNI and Iowa State will meet for the 30th time as the teams square off at Jack Trice Stadium. UNI and Iowa State have split the last six meetings between the schools with UNI coming out on top last season in Ames, 25-20.
It will mark the 10th time that UNI head coach Mark Farley has faced the Cyclones. Farley has led UNI to victories over Iowa State in 2007, 2013 and 2016.
