North Cedar sophomore Kelly Proesch
extended the Knights streak of having
at least one RVC outdoor champ in ve
straight years after winning the 100-meter
dash last week at the conference meet in
Camanche. Proesch ran to a season-best
time of 13.30 in the event to win the title.
In the six-year existence of the RVC meet,
North Cedar has only not claimed an event
title in the rst year of the league in 2014.
North Cedar placed 8th in the team race with 44 points. The Knights had one event win, one runner-up nish, and two third- place nishes. As a team, North Cedar had two season-best nishes as well in events. Cassie Cox placed second in the 400-me- ter dash in a time of 1:01.80. Kiley Chap- man placed third in the 3,000-meter run in 11:30.60. Nicole Sander placed third in the shot put with a season-best throw of 37-feet, 6.5 inches.
North Cedar’s best relay nishes came fromsixthplace nishesinthe4X100-me- ter relay and the sprint medley relay. The 4X100 relay team of Andrea Wachendorf, Sydney Dennis, Kassidie Galloway, and Cassie Cox were 6th in 54.81. The Knights sprint medley relay team of Wachendorf, Galloway, Proesch, and Cox were 6th in 1:57.04.
