CAMANCHE — The North Cedar boys
track team competed at the Camanche
co-ed meet on April 29. The Knights got
a preview of the track that would host the
2019 River Valley Conference meet. There,
North Cedar placed 6th out of nine scoring
teams with 54 points. Caden Wendt won
the only North Cedar event at the meet.
Wendt captured the shot put title with a
best throw of 50-feet, 1-inch.
North Cedar added two top-10 nishes in eld events. Jacob Sander placed 4th in the discus and 6th in the shot put. Milo Easterly added a top-10 nish in the 3,200-meter run.
North Cedar had a lot of success in the relay events.
North Cedar placed in the top-4 of three relay events. The Knights shuttle hurdle relay team of Jaxon Sander, Jacob Wag- ner, Gage Walshire and Chance Cinkov- ich placed third in 1:12.47. The Knights placed fourth in the sprint medley relay, the 4X800-meter relay, and the distance medley relay.
The meet featured four of the seven River Valley Conference North schools. North- east won the meet with a team score of 163. Bellevue was next with 130.5 points, and Calamus-Wheatland was third with 129 points. The host Indians were fourth in the standings with 104 points.
