ANAMOSA — The No. 5 ranked volleyball team in Class 2A Wilton Beavers got back on the winning track with a 3-set sweep over RVC North foe Anamosa in RVC cross-division play. The win came two days after Wilton fell in five sets to then Class 3A No. 1 Tipton at home. The win set the Beavers RVC record at 4-1 and 22-2 overall.
Wilton won the first set 25-17, the second set 25-20, and the third set 25-19. The 3-0 sweep was Wilton’s third against a RVC foe this year to date. Wilton had 42 kills in the match with sophomore’s Ella Caffery and Kelsey Drake each leading the way with 15 each. Both led Wilton in assists with Caffery with 21 and Drake with 17. The Beavers served 66-for-68 with nine aces. Mallory Lange led Wilton servers, going 18-for-18 with two aces.
