MOUNT PLEASANT — The Wilton cross-country teams collected a pair of fourth-place finishes last week at the Mount Pleasant cross-country invitational. The large meet featured both large and small school races. The Beavers were in the small-class division.
On the girl’s side, Wilton placed fourth with 84 team points. Danville- New London won the meet with 34 points and Mediapolis was second with 65 points. Cardinal was third with 66 points. Wilton had four runners place in the top-20. Charlotte Brown finished just outside of the top-10 with an 11th place finish in 24:48. Lindsey Randolph was next in 14th place in 25:37 followed by Abbi Brown 17th in 25:55 and Emmy Drake 20th in 26:26.
On the boy’s side, Zach Hein won the boy’s race cruising to a top finish in 17:36. The Beavers placed fourth as a team with 117 points. Wilton and two other runners place in the top-20. Ethan Bailey was 12th in 19:50 and Jake Walton was 16th in 20:00.
