Top ranked Tigers collect two more wins
 COGGON — The Tipton Tiger boy’s cross-country team collected two more meet victories last week to finish up the regular season. The Tigers won meets at West Delaware last Tuesday and at North Linn last Saturday. The Tigers continue to be ranked No. 1 in Class 2A in the latest rankings put out by the Iowa High School Track and Field Coaches Association.
 The Tigers traveled to Coggon, Iowa for the North Linn Invitational last Saturday morning. There, the Tigers were one of five ranked teams at the meet. Joining the Tigers were Class 3A No. 19 Marion a pair of ranked Class 2A schools - No. 5 Williamsburg, and No. 16 Grundy Center-Gladbrook-Reinbeck, and Class 1A No. 4 Maquoketa Valley.
 The Tigers took the top-3 spots individually at the race with the black and gold finishing
in each of the top-3 slots. Five Tipton runners placed in the top-10 places. Tipton junior Caleb Shumaker won the race in a time of 16:10. Teammates Trent Pelzer and Jackson Edens were right behind him, with Pelzer placing second in 16:47 and Edens placing third in 16:50. Senior Andrew Olseen ran with the varsity at the race and placed eighth in a time of 17:15 and Cody Bohlmann placed 10th in a time of 17:21. Other Tipton finishers came from Landan Hill in 19th place in 17:47 and A.J. Thumma in 34th place in 18:03.
 The Tipton junior varsity team placed second behind Marion at the meet in the team race. The Tigers scored 55 points and had three top-10 finishers. Marion won the meet with 29 points and five, top-10 finishers. Troy Butler led Tipton with a runner-up finish in 18:01 followed by Ty Nichols fourth in 18:31, and Dalton Esbaum eighth in 19:00. Other Tipton finishers were 20th Craig Shaffer, 21st Tiger Emrich, 23rd Bob Ryan, and 24th Brody Deerberg. Gavin Belitz and Caleb Jedlicka finished in 21:16 and 21:18.

Tigers Beat Five Other Ranked Teams, Claim West Delaware Title
 MANCHESTER — The Tiger boy’s cross-country team traveled to Manchester last Tuesday to run in a 20-team meet hosted by West Delaware. There, THS scored a team-low 49 points to take the team title. Western Dubuque was second with 56 points and Center Point-Urbana was third with 82 points.
 The Tigers, top-ranked in Class 2A, were joined by five other ranked boy’s cross-country
teams. Also at the meet were Class 4A No. 14 Western Dubuque; Class 3A - No. 8 Rock, No. 14 Mount Vernon-Lisbon, and No. 17 Grinnell; and Class 1A No. 4 Maquoketa Valley. The Tigers remain ranked No. 1 in Class 2A.
 Tipton was led by three top-10 finishers. Caleb Shumaker won the race in a time of 16:28. Trent Pelzer placed 5th in 16:53 and Jackson Edens placed 8th in 17:12. Cody Bohlmann placed 14th in 17:26. Other Tipton finishers were AJ Thumma 21st, Landan Hill 26th, and Ty Nichols 48th.
The Tiger junior varsity boys placed second behind Mount Vernon-Lisbon. MVL scored 39 points to the Tigers 52 points. Tipton had the top overall winner in Andrew Olseen who finished the race in 17:33. Troy Butler placed third in 18:13. Bob Ryan was 13th and Dalton Esbaum 14th. Other Tipton finishers came from Zach Fister 21st, Craig Shaffer 24th, and Brody Deerberg
31st.
