CEDAR RAPIDS — The Tipton swimming team traveled to Cedar Rapids Washington on Saturday, October 12. There, the Tigers placed third out of the eight scoring teams. Tipton scored 341 points.
Tipton won three events at the meet. The Tigers won the 200-yard medley relay, the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard backstroke. The Tigers won one relay event at the meet.
The Tigers captured the 200-yard medley relay title with the team of Ali Anderson, Zoe Stonebraker, Maddie Swick, and Rhyan Hoefler. The team won the event in a time of 2:01.74. Individually, Rhyan Hoefler won the 200-yard individual medley, swimming to a finish at 2:24.04. Hoefler also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.81.
