IOWA CITY, Iowa -- For a second consecutive week, University of Iowa sophomore Sam Tamborski is the Big Ten Diver of the Week. The announcement was made Wednesday by the league office.
The Castle Rock, Colorado, native earned the distinction after diving to a title last week at the SMU Classic in Dallas. Tamborski was the only Hawkeye to stand atop the podium during the two-day meet as she won the 3-meter springboard with a score of 302 points.
Tamborski currently has NCAA Zone Diving standards off both the 1-meter and 3-meter this season.
The Hawkeyes return to action Oct. 26, hosting Minnesota at 11 a.m. (CT) at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
