MANCHESTER — The North Cedar Knight cross-country team ran in their regular season finale last Tuesday at the West Delaware cross-country Invitational.
There, the Knight girl’s had three runners compete for the varsity and the North Cedar boys placed 19th out of 20 scoring teams. North Cedar ran at the annual River Valley Conference meet this week and will run at their state qualifying meet on October 24.
On the girl’s side, North Cedar had three runners competing in the race. Kiley Chapman finished
in the top-15 with a 12th place finish in 21:12. Hunter Jones placed 32nd in 22:33 and Rhyan Hoefler placed 91st in 25:21. West Dubuque won the meet with a team score of 62 while Grinnell was second with 84 and Mount Vernon-Lisbon was third with 95 points.
On the boy’s side, North Cedar placed 19th at the meet. North Cedar was led by Sam Choate, 100th in 20:28, Jacob Spahr 104th in 20:41, and David Redhage
112th in 21:28, Tipton won the meet with a team score of 49. Western Dubuque was next with 56 points and CPU was third.
